Veterinary Capacity Management

The VCM training is now also available online. Visit the platform for more information.

VETERINARY CARE

The demand for veterinary care has risen sharply in recent years. In addition, within Europe, there is a shortage on the labor market for veterinarians and paraveterinarians. And this problem seems to be getting bigger. An initial inventory of the shortage of veterinarians in the Netherlands (carried out by the University of Wageningen in 2020) shows that 23% of young veterinarians leave the practice early. Reasons for this are: poor work-life balance, insufficient/inappropriate remuneration, insufficient support from the employer, high work pressure and high expectations that cannot be met. The shortage of veterinarians is particularly visible in pet practices.

In short: the veterinary sector is facing a major challenge: how do we ensure that we can provide more care, without this being at the expense of the staff?

We are forced to work with smart solutions in order to continue to provide high-quality veterinary care in the future. Veterinary Capacity Management helps to (be able to) make smart choices in the short, medium and long term.

We help veterinarians, practice owners, managers and administrators from 1st line clinics to animal hospitals to make veterinary capacity management manageable. And to achieve results step by step in the daily care process.
